The AFA will be hosting its 2007 Air & Space Conference and Technology Exposition and Global Air Chiefs Conference September 24-26 at the Wardman Hotel, Washington DC. This will be a great occasion to combine two professional development opportunities.
The Scholarship/Awards Banquet will be a historic gathering of leaders, past, present, and future, and will celebrate excellence by recognizing young leaders in the field who are positively impacting their communities. The celebration will include scholarships for select future leaders and ROTC Cadets. We will also honor the lives and legacies of those who have paved the way for many of our leaders today. In conjunction with the Banquet, the Conference will feature:

General Bernard Randolph,
Former Commander, Air Force Systems Command
On 23 January 1989, with General Bernard P.
Randolph as the group's senior advisor, Air Force ROCKS was officially endorsed by Lt Gen Thomas J. Hickey, Deputy Chief of Staff for Personnel, and the newly-chartered organization was called "AFCOMAP." Recognizing the additional need for internal mentorship, the first AFCOMAP chapter implemented several actions, including junior officer professional leadership development seminars, and fellowship luncheons. The legacy of
Gen Randolph’s leadership lives on today.
